CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
A collaborative group of galleries and individuals (including representatives from Joan Ferneyhough Gallery, White Water Gallery and W.K.P. Kennedy Gallery) is seeking proposals for photographic innovations and installations of group projects for our second juried multi-venue Photography Festival. It will be held in North Bay in May of 2007.
This Exhibition of innovative photographic artworks will include artists from across Ontario. Solo and group exhibition proposals, collective projects and photo-based multi-media explorations will all be considered for this exciting event.
What we need from participating artists:
A description of a body of photo-based artwork that has been created within the last three years or will be created especially for camerafrontera. Artist statement defining themes and innovations addressed within your work. Please indicate whether you are proposing a solo or a group exhibition entry. A current bio and Curriculum Vitae. SASE to encure safe return of materials following jury evaluation. Up to 20 examples of previous work (digital, slides, b&w or colour copies).
What the jury will be focusing on:
The successful candidates will be assigned a personal exhibition space in downtown North Bay in May, 2007. The show will run for 4 consecutive weeks. Artist fees will be paid. Installation of the work and all the promotional materials will be the responsibility of camerafrontera. There is no entry fee for submitting to camerafrontera.
