
This year the White Water Gallery is presenting a
series of educational workshops intended for children of all ages.
Once a month we will host a different workshop on a Sunday afternoon
starting at 1pm. Each free session is approximately 2 hours long and
all supplies are provided.
Sunday July 12th Sculpture Instructor:
Clayton Windatt Students will have the opportunity to create
sculptures using modelling clay, and then watch as they become
hardened and permanent without having to bake in an oven.
Sunday August 16th Comic Stripping
Instructor: Adam Beanish Creating sequential illustrations, or comic
strips, is easy once you understand the basics. This class will take
students through the process step-by-step to complete their very own
comic strip
Sunday September 13th Animation II
Instructor: Adam Beanish This class will continue on from our first
animation session. Students will learn more animation techniques,
but previous participation is not necessary.
Sunday October 18th Mask Making
Instructor: Clayton Windatt This class involves the designing and
decorating of masks made from paper-mâché. The perfect start to a
great Halloween costume!
Sunday November 15th Light Boxes
Instructor: Clayton Windatt By layering translucent images over each
other and arranging them within a frame, students will create
unique, colourful art that can be hung in a window or given as a
gift.
Sunday December 13th Wreath Building
Instructor: Clayton Windatt We will be making holiday wreaths out of
a multitude of different papers, card board, foam and paint. These
decorations can be given as gifts or used to brighten the atmosphere
of your home.
